Bittersweet

8 Apr

Hello all, Reggie here. This last week was a bittersweet experience for us. We finally had the chance to take a trip back to our home grounds in Colorado and see family and friends as well as take care of business that we needed to deal with. This was the first time since August that I had the chance to go back, kasi and evie had taken a quick trip back earlier this year but I hadn’t had the opportunity to do so until now. Prior to this adventure I had never been away from my family for so long and it has been a lot harder than I thought it would be. I am not ashamed to admit it, I have missed my family.

This trip allowed us to see many of the people we have missed seeing while we have been on the road. It was awesome!!! I will say though that the habits developed over the last year made me itch to get back on the road quicker than I expected. It was fantastic to see my girls, my family and friends and those who I have missed so much but it was sad to have to say goodbye again. On the up side however, is knowing that we have a show back in Denver in June and so I will get to see them again soon.

This week starts a busy time for us. We have already completed ten shows over the first three months of the year but over the next eight weeks we have seven shows scattered over thousands of miles. We start this run in St. Louis with the “Beat me in St Louis” show which is a fun show where we get to see many friends. Then we are going to Springfield, Louisiana for a first time show called “Spring fling” where we  will not only be vending our goodies but will also be presenting three different classes. We then have one week off before jumping into the World’s Loudest Month. For those of you are not familiar with this, it is a  concert series of eight shows in five weeks. We are scheduled to do five of these shows. We have done two of them in the past and are looking forward to doing five of them this year.

These shows have been our best shows of all time and we have been working hard to get ready for them. It starts in Jacksonville, Florida with “Rockville”. We then travel to Charlotte, North Carolina for “Carolina Rebellion”. Next we truck on over to Somerset, Wisconsin for “Northern Invasion” before working our way back to Columbus, Ohio for “Rock on the Range”. That was our best show of all time last year. Our last stop on that tour is “Rocklahoma” in Pryor, Oklahoma which we have done for the last five years. We will be pretty shagged out after that run but we can’t wait to give it our best efforts.

If any of these stops are in your neighborhood and you would like to meet us for coffee or something please don’t hesitate to let us know at polyspleasures@Hotmail.com as we love meeting new people. Denver was mighty brisk and we saw the first snow of the year for us during our visit back home. Having spent most of the winter in the south we thankfully missed it up until then. After this weekend we will be heading back to the land of warmth, lol. Well I need to get back to work, no rest for the wicked you know. See you soon.
